Santa Teresa is the perfect combination of sun, surf, yoga and good food. Santa Teresa and Mal Pais are far removed from all big commercial hotels and mass tourism. The village is well situated with nature on all sides; its main street is a gravel road that runs parallel to the beautiful beach. After the beach you will find Santa Teresa’s hotels, bungalows, surf shops and restaurants.
This scenic and relaxing surf- and yoga paradise is absolutely wonderful and the perfect getaway from the big cities and all their stress. Here you are met by local surfers and professional surfers from all over the world and many Hollywood celebrities who escape the paparazzi photographers to come here and enjoy all of Santa Teresa’s lovely tranquillity and atmosphere.
Here you will find plenty of wonderful restaurants, bars, cafés and shops. Nightlife is just right and there are some clubs and bars that are open every night. As a rule though, they close early as most want to get up early the next morning to catch the first wave of the morning or do yoga on the beach.
In every corner you will find a surf shop or surfing school, and the selection is great; you may be a beginner or a professional, there will always be the right wave just for you.
We offer hotels, bungalows and houses directly on the beach or with a shorter walk down to it. From here you can also make other excursions such as going to Montezuma and visit the beautiful waterfall that can be found there.
Around and in Santa Teresa there are plenty of lovely adventures to do. Both Montezuma and Mal Pais are close and are worth a visit when you are here.
Montezuma has an amazingly beautiful waterfall that you can make a day trip to. In Santa Teresa, besides surfing, yoga is also one of the biggest activities and we can offer both single lessons or 1-2 weeks of courses in both surfing and yoga with some of the best teachers in the country.
Taking a ride on the long beach at sunset is something extra special about it.
