Stay at a cosy private Pacific Ocean beach
This fantastic fishing lodge is perfectly situated with a lush garden at a cosy private little Pacific Ocean beach.
The Lodge’s guest house has 3 bedrooms that can sleep 9 people. Three meals a day are included and served in the common lounge hut right by the beach. Lunch is served onboard the boat during full day fishing trips.
The fishing is done with two boats, a 25-foot and a 27-foot boat, giving you the best conditions for fishing both offshore and inshore. Here you can choose between trolling with live bait or lure, fish popper, jig, or bottom fishing. You can also go fly-fishing if you bring your own equipment. Here you can catch Sailfish, Yellow fin Tuna, Wahoo, Pacific Crevalle Jack, Almaco Jack, Snapper, Groper, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin and Striped Marlin.
The captains here are some of the best in Costa Rica and will make sure that you catch as much fish as possible.
If you want some lighter fishing this is the perfect place to visit as you only need to go 5 minutes to get to captivating fishing waters between some islands.
Other activities
If you want to combine fishing with some other activity then you can visit Isla Tortuga which is one of the country’s most beautiful islands for swimming and snorkelling.
The lodge also has a large selection of ocean kayaks tours, ranging from 2 hours to 2-day trips with overnight stays on nearby islands. Sea-fire or bioluminescence is something few people have experienced but here in this small bay where the lodge is located, sea-fire can be seen every day of the year. You only see it after the fall of darkness and taking a kayak trip in the dark is completely magical as each paddle stroke makes a green/blue shimmer in the water.
When it’s at its strongest you even see the fish shimmer in blue/green as they swim under your kayak. This is an incredible natural phenomenon and if you are here you must try this. You can see Sea-fire every night except the days before and after the full moon when the moon lights up the water too much.
